INSURE OUR KIDS
In Tennessee, approximately 116,900 children are without health insurance, which is disturbing since more than 53,000 of them are eligible for coverage under Medicaid, known as TennCare in Tennessee, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program, known as Cover Kids in Tennessee.
Since 2018, Tennessee Justice Center (TJC), along with forty other partner organizations, have been actively working to increase public awareness of this issue, educate the public about which programs they may qualify for, and assist families with any enrollment problems or questions that may come up. The partner organizations that have joined us in this fight include health providers, educators, childcare facilities, and other non-profits across the state.
